A cat suffering from a severe wound was rescued after undergoing an urgent maggot removal procedure. The animal was found in critical condition, with maggots infesting an open wound and posing a serious threat to its health.
Veterinary intervention was required to remove the maggots and thoroughly clean the infected area. Such cases, medically known as myiasis, can quickly become life-threatening if left untreated, as maggots destroy tissue and cause severe infections.
Experts emphasize the importance of early medical care and proper hygiene to prevent similar cases. The cat is currently receiving further treatment and is under close monitoring to ensure a full recovery.
